The Agrupamento de Escolas Escalada, is located in Pampilhosa da Serra near Coimbra, in a mountainous area of central Portugal.

We also have the collaboration of several specialized technicians to support 20 students with special educational needs. The school offers a variety of following extra curricular activities: music, sports (badminton and adventure sports), school newspaper, school radio, art activities, agriculture, health education, volunteering (the school was awarded last year as a national voluntary school) and the European club (new activity).

The coordinator of this project has been coordinator of a Comenius project "to be young in europe" 2002-2004 and has organized several exchanges with foreign schools. We have several teachers of English, French and Spanish languages and trained teachers in ICT. We have experience in organization of field trips to England and Spain.

We also have important partners for logistical support in the projects and we have a Projects Evaluation Team that can support the evaluation of the project in order to minimize bullying situations.

"Circuito Anti Bullying"

ABOUT US >

In the project, we expect to tackle bullying in schools which is a rapidly rising phenomenon in Europe. The project also aims to support schools to deal with the problem of early school leaving. Students are provided to learn how to recognise bullying and effectively deal with either being the victim or the bystander. Three transnational  project meetings (TPM) and four learning/teaching/training activities (LTT) in each participant country are dedicated to concrete issues of the main subject matter, bullying.Another vital importance is to get consciousness that there are different people, cultures, languages and expectations, but that would be considred as a starting point to find common issues to better our consciousness of being European citizens. Final but maybe the most important priority is the inclusive educational method supporting to build equality and non-discrimination, and promote the competences of students who are especially with special education needs (SEN).
