Ariogala Gymnasium is a secondary school, which has 574 pupils and 50 teachers.

All teachers and administration members work in a “ladder system” which is the main tool of preventing bullying at school, according to Olweus programme.
All teachers more or less have experience in working with various projects concerned with IT skills and foreign languages.
Since 2014 Ariogala Gymnasium participates in Olweus International AS project, which is the main tool in the prevention of bullying. Teachers, administration and students work with programme and apply its rules and take all steps in order to stop all kinds of  bullying.

Our school starts caring of a student from the first grade. There are teams of professional and competent teachers (50 teachers), also a speech therapist and psychologist service is provided at school.

Our classrooms are equipped with modern technologies that help to educate students reaching good results in various contests and competitions as well as in the state exams. There is a huge assembly hall that has got newly installed acoustics, a choreography hall where students have dancing lessons.

There are many after school activities that help developing different abilities of students such as a folk dancing club, chorus, and a number of others; also various sport activities are organized and lead by creative and imaginative teachers.
This Gymnasium also participates in national projects such as Healthy way of living, Olweus International AS, etc.

ABOUT US >

In the project, we expect to tackle bullying in schools which is a rapidly rising phenomenon in Europe. The project also aims to support schools to deal with the problem of early school leaving. Students are provided to learn how to recognise bullying and effectively deal with either being the victim or the bystander. Three transnational  project meetings (TPM) and four learning/teaching/training activities (LTT) in each participant country are dedicated to concrete issues of the main subject matter, bullying.Another vital importance is to get consciousness that there are different people, cultures, languages and expectations, but that would be considred as a starting point to find common issues to better our consciousness of being European citizens. Final but maybe the most important priority is the inclusive educational method supporting to build equality and non-discrimination, and promote the competences of students who are especially with special education needs (SEN).
