Itt "G. Malafarina" is a secondary high school.

Developing a strong interest for the new European approach of learning /teaching represents for Itt Malafarina a priority. The high school institute is constantly involved in innovating its teaching, studying and learning processes developing its working organization according to the new digital learning methods and devices thus giving a prompt replay to the new demands globalization requires. Its qualified staff, through European projects, has got  a faithful vision on internationalization in order to warrant the projects quality by interfacing them with the curriculum. It favours  the use of ICT in education by providing both teachers and students with all kinds of facilities in order to assure a profitable usability and accessibility of technology for teaching and learning, thus becoming a benchmark both figuratively and practically for all professionals who need a catchment area for recruiting labour force and for improving their own competences through the training and acquiring of certified abilities. In this way teachers even coordinate activities with stakeholders, such as homes, local enterprises and municipality.
The up-to-date learning laboratories ensure factive skills to be developed. As a matter of fact, experience matured in several Comenius Exchange Partnerships, in an Erasmus plus strategic one and in the post diploma specific courses has provided the institute with a unique chance to realize the operative way of running of European Institutions and the processes of developing  European Strategies and Programmes in a multicultural and high-level working context. The staff chosen for this application is responsible for the EU dimension of the school and for implementing the use of technology. The use of English language is incentivized in the Electronics, Informatics and Cad Labs. This approach enables teacher to provide students with a head start in mastering basic skills thus preventing early school leaving and favouring access to international labour market.
The Institute has been enrolled in these Pon/Por/Efr relevant projects:
3.15 2 1C 07/47 Language Lab
C5 Fse04 Improving youth knowledge and competences
C1 Evaluation of cultural resources FSE09-115
C5 Building my future FSE10-25
C5 Assessing for getting to know FSE11-31
Project: School /Job Interchange
Participants' team has been selected by the Principal according to their linguistic and ICT competences and for their certified experiences on similar issues. Mr Domenico Agazio Servello together with Mrs Savina Moniaci, responsible for the EU projects Erasmus+ implementation, want to act out their propension in developing  talented school staff's  potentialities according to the new technological  challenges so as to let them share their experience, acquire factive competences, developing their CV s in such a direction. Likewise in order to enhance students' skills they monitor and evaluate all departments acting as mentors preventing likely issues and promoting a direct and active application of multimedia and of the new methodological approaches. According to this vision the experience matured by  Mrs Moniaci and some components of the staff in an Erasmus + Joint Staff Training  enabled the courses participants to tailor-make their own methodology and to disseminate the new approaches so as to effectively measure learning outcomes, starting from students' needs, their perspective , thus limiting the high rate of early school leaving. This project would be a further occasion to acquire new competences and to actualize them properly.
